assorted dried seeds, beans or corn kernels
bowl of hot water
colander
heavy thread
embroidery needle
thimble (optional)

Go

1. Rinse off seeds thoroughly.
2. Soak the seeds in water until soft. (Some seeds may have to soak overnight.)
3. Drain seeds in colander, then pat dry.
4. Double-thread needle to the desired length of your necklace, then add 2 inches. (Make sure the necklace will fit over your head.) Knot the thread 1 inch from the end to make a tail.
5. String seeds in a fun pattern. Stop stringing when you’ve filled the thread up to 1 inch from the needle.

7. Let necklace dry in a sunny spot for a day or two before you wear it.
